They believe this because of the school shootings that have recently taken place. They think that this bad behavior can all be tied back to their viewing of violent media as young kids. All in all, I think that there is a healthy balance in the viewing of violent media. It gives children a way of expressing all of their emotions. Not limiting violent media for kids helps them find their true identity along with allowing them to gain a sense of confidence.

Violent media plays a huge role in the lives of children. Violent media comes in many forms varying from comics to T.V. shows. Children use this violent media as a way of dealing with their emotions. This violent media gives kids the confidence they need to go out into the world and make new friends. Overall, there is a good balance of violent media for children to view. The key to violent media not having a negative impact is quantity. You also have to make sure that whatever your child is using is age appropriate. Everything that is put out has an age recommendation. These recommendations should not be ignored and given the importance that they deserve. Try to make sure that your children get a healthy balance of everything. Violent media does not have to be a bad thing in the lives of children.
